Wisteria Tea

Today there’s a Murder, She Wrote marathon on the Hallmark Movie Channel.  I loved that show, so I’ve been watching pieces of it all day in between other activities.  I wonder, though, how Jessica Fletcher always finds a working flashlight when she wants to poke around somewhere.  I can find a ton of flashlights, but they usually need a bulb, or batteries, or both.  Even when Jessica is somewhere she’s never been before, she always finds a flashlight when she needs one.  Notice I didn’t ask the obvious questions – why someone always dies or is accused of murder when Jessica is around.  Or why there are so many murders in Cabot Cove, Maine.  Holy cow!  That place is a hotbed of mayhem.

Here’s a really cute project from demonstrator Connie Stewart.  I changed it a bit, but the pattern is from Connie.

Stamps:  Tea Shoppe; Ink:  Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder; Versamark; Paper:  Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder card stock; Other:  Simply Scored, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch, Extra large and Large tag punches, Wisteria Wonder ruffled ribbon, white embossing powder, heat tool, Wisteria Wonder baker’s twine, crimper, Big Shot, Paper Doily sizzlit, multipurpose liquid glue, sticky strip

This was really fun to make.  I added the matching ribbon at the bottom of the “cup,” but I wanted to have a border at the top also.  I used the dotted scallop ribbon punch on Whisper White, then embossed the little flower in white on the punched piece.  Judy gave me that idea, and I love the look.  Finally, I cut the punched piece in half so it’s just straight with a little scallop.

I think this would be fun to fill with tea for a friend.  Or a little gift of tea and chocolate, or mini cookies.  I just loaded up on some more cookies yesterday.  Ugh.  I’m going to have to start eating healthier.  I was buying some cookies for Sandy, and I thought while I was at it, I’d get some more lemon ones (I think they’re Savannah Smiles) and the shortbread ones.  Yum.

Have a great day  – and thanks for stopping by.  If you come to the house, I’ll give you tea and cookies!

    This is really adorable. I want it filled with tea and cookies. And I really like the nice doily die coaster beneath. So I am to blame for your cookie indulgence, huh! Well, I can’t eat cookies without a partner in crime. Oh, and I’ll be right over for the tea and cookies you are promising. Tomorrow I pick you up for a trip to the gym. {smile}

    I have tea and I have cookies!! Want lemon or shortbread? And it’s always more fun to eat cookies with a friend! (Hey, I have to blame someone for the indulgence!) The gym is a great idea, by the way. I decided I’ve had enough of babying this stupid back, so went to Sam’s with Mike. We had to walk extra since they’re remodeling, and I feel great after the “exercise.” Although I did have two heavy duty pain pills earlier (but I think they’ve worn off).
