I ran around with Mike this afternoon, so I didn’t get to stamp – which, of course, was my plan for the afternoon hours. But I couldn’t resist a day with the man. You’re in for a treat, though, because I have my last swap card to show you!
This is from my friend Kathe Deck, and I love the Sweet Shop designer series paper. It makes a very happy card. And I love the colors she used.
Stamps: Take it to Heart, Delightful Dozen; Ink: Calypso Coral, Soft Suede; Paper: Soft Suede, Calypso Coral card stock; Sweet Shop designer series paper; Other: Big Shot, Framelits – Hearts collection, Adorning accents edgelits and embossing folder
Isn’t this great? Hearts and cupcakes; what else could a mom want, right?
One of the stops Mike & I made today was the local “really big box store.” You know, the “mart” located at the “wall” where people dress oddly? Yeah, that one. We had a few things I wanted to pick up, and since Mike had just been there yesterday, I think he wanted to see if the Girl Scouts were still there selling cookies. They were, and we couldn’t say no to those sweet little faces. I may stick a few boxes in the freezer, just for our safety.
Once we finally got inside, I found one of my all-time favorite Easter movies for $10! Yep – It’s the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown.
I had to watch it when I got home (another reason I didn’t stamp), and this one also has the Arbor Day special. (You know…the day when all the ships sail into the arbor, according to Sally Brown.) I’m not sure if the Easter Beagle is my favorite because it features Snoopy (hanging out with Woodstock, trying on silly hats with Sally, kissing Lucy, dancing with bunnies, and, of course, as the Easter Beagle) or because Beethoven’s 7th symphony is part of the soundtrack. Seriously, the second movement is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written (in my opinion, of course). But, there you have it. I’m a Peanuts fanatic. I love those guys, so I’m thrilled to have one more to add to my collection.
Hope you had a wonderful day! Enjoy your week and thanks for stopping by.
