Here are two more of the gorgeous swaps I received. These are from Patti Leeke and Stephanie McKinnon. Both cards use a lot of the same supplies, but they’re totally different.
Here’s Patti’s –
Stamps: Take It to Heart; Outlined Occasions; Ink: Cherry Cobbler stampin’ write marker; Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White card stock; Red glimmer paper; Other: Scallop Square, Postage Stamp, Heart to Heart, Small Heart punches; Cherry Cobbler scallop dots ribbon; Cherry Cobbler dazzling details; Big Shot; Elegant Lines embossing folder
I love the way she punched the scallop square in the Whisper White card stock, then used that as a frame for the postage stamp. The littler glimmer hearts and the dazzling details in the embossing add just the right amount of sparkle, I think, and it pulls out the polka dots in the ribbon.
This is Stephanie’s card.
Stamps: Take It to Heart, Loving Thoughts; Ink: Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze classic; Paper: Riding Hood Red, Blushing Bride, Whisper White, Baja Breeze card stock; Twitterpated designer series paper; Red glimmer paper; Other: Big Shot, Hearts framelits, small heart punch, stampin’ dimensionals
Stephanie also used “Take It to Heart,” but she used colors from the designer paper instead of the traditional red and white. I think linking the heart frames was so clever. What a perfect valentine, anniversary, wedding or “thinking of you” card. The red glimmer hearts over the framed hearts helps bring everything together.
Tomorrow I’ll have a sample from some cards I’m making to sell. I’ll have sets of 5 for $10, and all the money will go to the Oratorio Society I sing with. It’s kind of a “mini” personal fundraiser!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day.
