Cherry Cobbler Holiday Wishes

One of the perks of being a Stampin’ Up!® demo is you get to see previews of catalogs, and you get to preorder merchandise from those catalogs.  (Ok, that’s two perks, I guess.)  Today, we got to peek at the Occasions Mini Catalog.  It’s always my favorite.  Oh, who am I kidding?  Every catalog and mini is my favorite! I can’t tell you anything about it, but I’ll be able to show you projects with my preorder merchandise in December!  I’ll probably expedite the order, so it will be here on the 5th of December.  Our oratorio society concerts will be over, and my other music is in pretty good shape, so I should have lots of time to stamp!  I will tell you, if I order what I’m planning to order, my Big Shot is going to get a workout!  There are lots of new products for it.

Moving on, before I spill something I shouldn’t…

I saw a great idea the other day, and had just enough time tonight to try it out before I had to run to rehearsal.  My stamp room seems to be free of uninvited guests right now, so I ventured forth.

I wanted to see what Cherry Cobbler embossing would look like on Cherry Cobbler card stock.  I love it!  It looks a little like damask, I think.  I embossed the poinsettia image from Bells & Boughs on the Cherry Cobbler, then stamped the “Happy Holidays” sentiment from Christmas Lodge on a die cut oval.  I added the birds, a few trees, some sponging and Dazzling Details (plain and some I made with Cherry Cobbler refill) and tied it all together with some ribbon and brads.  Easy & quick!  I can’t wait to try some Melon Mambo on Melon Mambo and Wild Wasabi on Wild Wasabi.  And now that I have Tempting Turqoise Dazzling Details, I can do Turquoise on Turquoise on Turquoise!

I also made a Christmas ornament tonight, but it’s still drying.  I’ll have it ready for tomorrow.  I’m not sure if it’s going on a gift or on the tree.

Have a great day – and thanks for stopping by.
