We did get snow! In October. I don’t remember ever having snow in October. It’s almost gone, but it was fun to wake up to. It got a little heavy at times, but it only amounted to an inch or two. Mike says 4, but I don’t think so. Anyway – it wasn’t enough to stop traffic or keep anyone at home. A lot of area residents lost power and some trees broke, because it was very wet and heavy. Our power went out for about 1 second two times yesterday, but that’s pretty common. I think the power company does that on purpose to save money.
Here’s the gorgeous card I got from Mary Fife. I love her watercoloring, and she often pops up part of an image to make it less “flat.”
I love the way Mary used the evergreen tree from Lovely as a Tree as the branch for the bird. And the bow is lovely. Those square brads make a nice “knot” for bows, and they’re so easy to make. Here’s a closer look at the bird.
See how she stamped it two times, then cut one out and popped it up on dimensionals? Cute!!
