I love this time of year! It’s great hot chocolate weather, and I’m thinking some beef stew tomorrow night will be good. I spent most of yesterday in my stamp room. I’m working on some things for our next blog hop. I thought about using this card for the hop, but decided not to – so you get to see it now!
Stamp set: Always Thankful; Ink: Versamark; Early Espresso classic; stampin’ write markers – More Mustard, Sahara Sand, Old Olive; Paper: Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz card stock; Spice Cake designer series paper*; Other: Simply Scored*, Tangerine Tango embossing powder, corner rounder punch, scallop trim border punch, stampin’ dimensionals, aqua painter (*available in the Holiday mini catalog; all other products available in the 2011-12 Stampin’ Up!® Idea Book & Catalog)
The ruffles – with paper, ribbon and seam binding ribbon – will be one of our techniques for technique class on Wednesday. We’ve ruffled seam binding before – I think for last month’s class – but it’s not on a card, so we’ll be doing it again.
I really love the Spice Cake designer series paper. Who would have thought about using Pool Party as a fall color? Thinking of “pools” just makes me shiver today! Ours needs to be closed for the season. Mike always thinks we’re going to have an Indian Summer in late September or October, so he leaves it open. It may get warm during the day, but when it’s in the 50s at night, I’m not getting in the water without a wet suit. I don’t think I’ll ever be a member of the Polar Bear club.
Don’t forget the special deal for new recruits – a Big Shot or $100 in Stampin’ Up!® products! And, of course, cookie stamps, new MDS downloads (and bulk printing prices!), and the Simply Sent promotions (buy two Simply Sent kits and get a coordinating stamp set free!). Details are in the sidebar.
Thanks for stopping in! Have a great week.
