Going, Going….

The summer mini catalog sales period is ending August 31.  We’ll be using some of the sets that didn’t make it to the Idea Book & Catalog at our workshops this month.  There’s a little hope that they might be on a special carry over list, but there’s no guarantee.  So don’t miss your chance to use these great sets.

To make the coasters, I stamped the sailboat in Stazon, then inked the entire tile with Versamark.  I used cotton swabs and pom poms to add color to the sails, flag, boat, sea and sky.  The box is made with cardboard and card stock, and then I covered it with Nautical Expedition designer series paper and baker’s twine.

Here’s a card we’ll be making at August workshops.

Stamp sets:  The Open Sea, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Ink:  Jet Black Stazon; Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso classic; Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Not Quite Navy stampin’ write markers; Paper:  Cherry Cobbler, Not White Navy, Whisper White, Early Espresso card stock; Other:  1-1/4″ circle punch, 1-3/8″ circle punch, word window punch, modern label punch, scallop edge punch, paper piercing tool, mat pack, red/white baker’s twine, Designer frames, Big Shot, Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon, stampin’ dimensionals.

I stamped and colored the ship first, then embossed the frame around it.  I love ruffling the seam binding.  It adds a little “something,” without being too “girly.”

Tomorrow I’ll show the other two projects we’ll be making.  Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!
