Framed Cherries

I had totally forgotten about the little tags from the matchbox die!  I’m having so much fun using them.  Punches are easier and quicker, of course, but these tags are so unique and fun.  AND you can cut them from chipboard, metal, felt, cardboard, cork or magnet sheets…pretty much anything.  These are from card stock (the Chocolate Chip one) and cardboard backing from the designer series paper (the Always Artichoke layer).

I got home yesterday to find that everyone except me has been in the pool.  They’re really enjoying it.  The boys were gone when I got here; they were off buying “pool toys.”  You’d think they’d grow out of that, but I guess not.  I’m going to get a vacuum hose today since I think ours is toast after 2 years of non-use.  And maybe a float or two.  My favorite summer was lounging with a book in the pool while the boys played.  Of course, if the lounge flipped or the boys got a little rowdy with their splashing, my book got soaked, but they dry, right?  They’re just a little fatter than normal.

Rachel’s physical therapist said she could get in the pool and do some exercises but not really swim yet.  And they’re going to give her some extra “pool-cises” to do, so the having it back up and running is a plus for everyone.

Here’s the rest of the “friend to friend card.”  I always think, “Life is a bowl of cherries!” when I see this stamp.

Stamp sets:  Teeny Tiny Wishes, Cherish Friendship; Ink:  Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke classic; Jet Black StazOn; Watercolor Wonder crayons (regals, neutrals); Paper:  Crumb Cake, Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip card stock; Paisley Petals designer series paper; watercolor paper; Other:  Matchbox die; aqua painter, Always Artichoke seam binding ribbon, stampin’ dimensionals, brads – neutrals, word window punch, large oval punch, Designer Frames embossing folder, Big Shot, sponge

I colored the cardboard tag with Always Artichoke classic ink and a sponge.  I also learned a fun trick to keep the Designer Frames embossing folders from crinkling your card stock.  That will be a technique Wednesday at the class.  Hope you can make it!  Be sure you RSVP, so I’ll have supplies for you.  I’ve heard the RSVP button on my web site is glitched right now, so just send me an e-mail until we figure out what’s up, and I’ll put you on the list.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day.
