I have two cards for you today since I missed yesterday. I wanted to play with glitter and vellum a little. I love the “stained glass” technique (stamp and emboss an image on vellum and color on the back), and the Flower Fest set looked like it would be fun to use with that technique. I also had a color combination from Rachel (Bashful Blue, Regal Rose, Perfect Plum), so here’s what I came up with.
Stamp sets: Just Believe, Flower Fest; Ink: Versamark; Rose Red classic; Regal Rose, Perfect Plum, Bashful Blue, Rose Red stampin’ write markers; Paper: Vellum, Whisper White, Regal Rose, Perfect Plum, Bashful Blue card stock; Other: Big Shot, Elegant Bouquet embossing folder, 2-3/8″ scallop circle punch, modern label punch, butterfly punch, glimmer brads (subtles), white embossing powder, Melon Mambo embossing powder, heat tool, embossing buddy, basic rhinestones, stampin’ dimensionals, 2-way glue pen, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, mini glue dots
This is a “get well” card for Rachel, since she’s having surgery in the morning. I made a matching matchbox with chocolate nuggets, but that wouldn’t fit in the scanner and my camera is still on the fritz.
Here’s another card I made at our “craft day.”
Stamp sets: Hello Blossoms, Pennant Parade; Ink: Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade stampin’ write markers; Wisteria Wonder classic; Paper: Island Indigo, Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, Whisper White card stock; Other: Big Shot, Elegant Lines embossing folder, Crystal Effects, word window punch, mat pack, paper piercing tool, brads – Regals, Brights; stampin’ dimensionals, fine glitter – Cosmo, Supernova
This uses 4 out of the 5 new In Colors. I colored the flowers with the markers so I could omit the letters, then added Crystal Effects and glitter to the centers.
I’ve promised to be available to help Jon & Rachel as much as they need tomorrow, so I’ll probably blog tomorrow’s post tonight. If it sounds a little wonky, that’s why! I’ll be telling you stuff that hasn’t happened yet. I just got a new shipment of goodies, though – and it was all free!! – so hopefully I’ll have something new and exciting for you.
Thanks for stopping by!
