Well, now I have a dilemma. I made another card today, and thought, “Wow, this would be perfect for a graduation card!” I guess I could hang on to them for next year, but every one I make, I think, “Wonder if Rachel would like this better?” I need to decide, or she’s going to think I’m not going to send her one.
Maybe I’ll give this card to Mike, as a reminder to just trust me. We were shopping for groceries last week, and I said, “Oh, we need coffee.”
Mike: “Coffee? Are you sure?” (Seriously, how long have we been married? I’m always sure about coffee.)
Me: “Yes. I’m sure.”
Mike: “But it was almost full when I made some today.” (Seriously, how long have we been married???)
I make coffee before I go to bed almost every night. On Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday nights, I make half a pot and set the timer for 4:10 a.m. (ick), so it will be ready when Mike gets up for Spinning. Then, when he gets home, he makes another half pot for me. It’s a great system. The other days, I just make a whole pot, but we turn it on in the morning, because who knows if we’ll be up at 5:30 a.m. or 7:30 a.m. And I don’t like 2 hour old coffee.
So, I knew there was almost a whole canister of coffee. I also knew that coffee is the one thing I do not want to wake up and be out of. And, if they think about it for two seconds, neither do the guys in this house. Because Buffy without coffee is not a pleasant thing to be around in the morning. Or afternoon or evening, for that matter. I have an evil twin who makes her appearance in a caffeine-free world. She’s grumpy. Very, very grumpy. So…
Me: “Just trust me on this one. We need coffee.”
Mike: “Okay.” (Obviously he just remembered the evil twin and doesn’t want to take a chance.)
Stamp sets: Fabulous Florets, Just Believe; Ink: Jet Black StazonWisteria Wonder, Daffodil Delight, Concord Crush stampin’ write markers; Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Concord Crush classic; Paper: Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral card stock; Other: Big Shot, scallops #2 die, Circle Scissor Plus, shimmer paint – top coat, curly label punch, stampin’ dimensionals, basic pearls, Concord Crush 1/2″ stitched poly ribbon, blender pen, sponge
I love these colors! This card uses mostly new In Colors, with a little Concord Crush thrown in. It goes very well with Wisteria Wonder. I stamped/colored the flowers in Wisteria Wonder, then added a little Concord Crush on some of the petals to give them some depth.
So, Mike or Rachel? Probably Rachel. I don’t think Mike would really appreciate the flowers and ribbon! Have a wonderful day – and thanks for stopping by.
