I'm really enjoying the "Strength & Hope" set. This week, Winchester is celebrating the "Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival," so I need strength! One of the organizations I belong to sponsors a big luncheon every year, and I'm on one of the committees. I offered to donate a door prize, pick up some of the other door prizes, and stamp thank you cards for all the prizes we were given (about 80 – 100). I think I'm down to picking up two more prizes, finishing my donation and creating 15 more cards. Whew!! After this weekend, I'll get a chance to do some serious stamping, I think. (That's where the stamp set comes in!! Strength to get through this week and Hope that next week is a little calmer!)
This is another card I made with Sandy & liz. I inked the flourish with markers, used sponge daubers to ink the butterfly, then covered it with Moonlight Smooch paint after I had stamped it. I used some of the new "Paisley Petals" designer paper for the border. (Hurry!!! You only have a few more days to take advantage of the "Spring Is Blossoming" sneak peek that includes this paper. See details here.)
The fun thing about this set – besides the fact that $2.00 from the sale of each set goes to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation – is it can be used for anything. It would make a nice Thinking of You, Birthday, Anniversary, Wedding…it's very "all occasion!"
Thanks for stopping in! I'm buzzing off to a rehearsal, then to take some pictures and pick up door prizes. Have a wonderful day!
