"She" would be my mother, of course. She bought the Big Shot daisy die and wanted to make these flowers. Her internet was down, and I couldn't send her the link to the instructions, so I was telling her on the phone what flowers she needed to cut and punch. I got about halfway through, and she said, "Oh, the internet tech guy is here, so I'd better go." I kind of expected her to call or e-mail me when he left so she could finish getting the instructions, but instead, I got a photo of her daisies. Truthfully, I think they look a lot better than the ones I made and the ones in the tutorial. She used some items from her "pretties kit" to make the centers look like they had dewdrops.
In my defense, Mom has a lovely yard full of flowers that she can go look at for inspiration. All I have are phlox that are quite pretty for about 3 weeks; the other 49 weeks – not so much. Still, though, she did a beautiful job, and I'm so proud of her! (Even though I had nothing to do with it.)
Here are some of the thank you cards I'm making. This is the card I CASEd from Diane Malcor.
Except for the sentiment, this is almost exactly Diane's card. She created it for a sketch challenge, and I just loved it. I did want to do something original to it, though, so here's my "CASE."
I think I like the Pretty in Pink better than the Marina Mist and Daffodil Delight, but I had a lot more Daffodil Delight ribbon than Certainly Celery – and I didn't have any pink ribbon of any color. So I colored my butterfly with Marina Mist and Daffodil Delight, knowing, of course, that parts would be green, and added the Marina Mist circle background. And, again, I made my own glitter glue. Here was the first one…
After I added 3 little dots of Crystal Effects to the center of the butterfly, I dropped the butterfly on the floor. Of course it landed glue side down, and my CE was smooshed. So I just covered the whole thing with CE, added Dazzling Diamonds glitter and waited a couple hours for it to dry.
Here's what it was supposed to look like –
This uses Light Blue glitter from the Cosmo fine glitter stack. I'm kind of liking the all over crystal one, though. It kind of looks like a puffy sticker. Maybe I should have dropped them all on the floor.
My cupboards are bare and Mike and the boys are daily adding stuff to the grocery list, so I guess it's time to hit the store. We got paid for some jobs yesterday, so I'm thinking the peanut butter and Ramen noodle diet is over! Woohoo!!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a lovely weekend and a Happy Easter!

Oh, Buffy! I am so honored to have my daisies on your blog!! Wow…..I feel like a pro stamper today!!! They were fun to make and I think mixing color shades and adding a layer of vellum petals helped. The thank you cards are absolutely lovely. No other organization says “Thank You” in such a wonderful way.

Lovely cards too Buffy! Especially the “accidental” butterflies. One of the things I love about Spring…the real ones are out and about…finally!
