I'm taking a break from the sneak peeks to show you some "oldies but goodies" from the Idea Book & Catalog. Remember Dreams du Jour? I love that set, and dug it out today. I saw a card in a magazine today and had to CASE (copy and share everything). Mine is a little different, and it uses all Stampin' Up!® products, but the design and layout credit goes to Vanessa Spencer.
I pulled out several products I haven't used for awhile – Dreams du Jour, the Newsprint designer series paper, my distressing essentials kit and glitter with Crystal Effects. First, I distressed the edges of the designer paper, then spritzed water all over it, crumpled it up and distressed it with the Tea Stain ink and flat stamp (from the distressing essentials kit). While it dried, I stamped the dreams image and colored it with markers. I made my own "glitter glue" with Crystal Effects and Supernova fine glitter. It's so easy and with the glitter stacks and one bottle of Crystal Effects, you have lots of colors and they'll last forever. Well, maybe not forever. But a long time.
The hardest part of this card was waiting for it to dry. I used my heat tool to speed it up a little.
Tomorrow, I'll show you some of the thank you cards I'm making for our Apple Blossom luncheon next week. Two of my demonstrator friends, Gretchen Santucci and Diane Malcor, showed some cards on our "Showcase" that are absolutely gorgeous and very elegant. Both will work nicely with the Strength & Hope set, so I'm going to play with those tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll nail down exactly what I want to do for my fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Thanks for stopping by!
