It's beautiful today…very "springy!" We had a great workshop yesterday at club, and Wendy made the most delicious cupcakes. They were chocolate (maybe devil's food? I devoured mine so fast, it was hard to remember!) and the icing was the best! She sprinkled each one with a little decorative sugar which matched the napkins, cups and plates (which were gorgeous!). And each cupcake was a different color. Since we have two sessions for club in case someone can't come to one, she left the cupcakes for Saturday. That was very, very risky. I know they're there and can hear them calling me. If Mike & the boys know they're there, our Saturday gang may not have snacks! I think Wendy understands boys, though, because she baked a cake for our family, so we can snack on that instead of her beautiful cupcakes. (And by "snack," I mean eat it until we're stuffed.)
I made this card to commemorate the day! The "designer paper" is actually a piece of one of the napkins from the party.
I watercolored the image from "On the Grow" on Confetti White card stock with watercolor crayons and a blender pen, then added some rhinestone jewels, Crystal Effects (on the jar) and Smooch "top coat" paint (on the flowers and leaves). It's much sparklier in person. I can almost even imagine that I can smell them blooming. Oh, wait…those are the roses I got for playing for Kelley's recital, so I'm not imagining.
Have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping in.
