Look What’s Coming!!!

Here are a few more sneak peeks for you.  In April, you'll be able to purchase two products from the brand new 2011-12 Idea Book & Catalog!  With a $20 purchase, you can order new designer paper and/or a brand new stamp set.  With a qualifying workshop, hostesses can get both free!

The paper is shown in the first project.  I was playing with the "reinker spread" technique last night.  I'm not sure what the official name of the technique is, but that's the one I hear most often.  I don't like that name, because it reminds me of something my piano teacher once said about pianists having "piano bench spread."  But, hey – I didn't make up the technique.

You stamp and emboss an image on glossy or shimmery white card stock.  Then you spritz it with water so you have little pools in the embossing.  Using your aqua painter, pick up a little color from ink refills and then just touch it to one of the pools on your card stock.  The color magically "zings" into the area and fills it with color.  (So maybe I'll call it "reinker zing" instead of spread!)

I used Rich Razzleberry and Perfect Plum with a little Pumpkin Pie on this one.  And it went really well with the new designer paper.

Here's the other product.  It's the frame stamp with roses and the sentiment.

The stamp set coordinates with the decorative label punch.  I love the way this one coordinates with the Elements of Style set.

I stamped the main image on Newsprint designer series paper and watercolored it with Watercolor Wonder crayons.  The tag is stamped on Very Vanilla card stock.  It looks layered, but it's really not.  I used a Cherry Cobbler marker to color the area between the border and the edge of the card stock.

Here are supplies for both cards.  Have a great day – and thanks for stopping by!
