I got so much done today.  Mike & I took pictures of some properties, I finished the project from yesterday that I was working on for him, got a great haircut, and found out the roads really weren't all that bad.  At least in my end of Frederick County.  Here's a photo of Senseny Road (that runs past our subdivision) in Clarke County.

It really wasn't bad; just snowy.  Our roads were all clear, though.  Even though we had about 8-10" of snow yesterday, my UPS driver made it to the house with my order!  He totally rocks.   Mike gave me some money for stamps for Christmas, so here are a few of my purchases and free Sale-a-bration products.

Isn't this fun?  Except for the card stock, cupcake punch and stamp set, everything else was free!  Ok – the embellishments, designer paper and little buttons were free.  But that's about $20 worth of "stuff" that I got free.  And I like free!!

The designer paper, accents and buttons are from the Ice Cream Parlor series (from Sale-a-bration).  It was so easy to coordinate colors; I just used the colors in the paper.  The cherry was punched from glimmer paper.  And for a little extra texture, I crimped the cupcake paper liner after I stamped it.  The scallop circles, scallop border and the border I stamped "Happy Birthday" on are some of the "quick accents."  They're self-adhesive die-cuts, so they're a snap to add to any project.  You may be tempted to call them "stickers," but they're a lot thicker than stickers.  They're actually card stock weight.

And how do you like my Melon Mambo thread on the buttons?  It's actually tiny thin strips of card stock, and is much easier than ribbon!

Here are the supplies.  I have another card that uses the same sketch but different colors, punches and stamps.  I'll show you that one tomorrow (after I confess to Sandy that I've been using her snowbound stamps and punch).

Stamp set:  Create a Cupcake
Ink:  Pacific Point, Old Olive classic; Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight stampin' write markers
Paper:  Whisper White, Marina Mist, Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo card stock; Ice Cream Parlor designer series paper & quick accents pack (FREE); glimmer paper
Other:  Ice Cream Parlor buttons (from Ribbon & Button Pack – FREE), stampin' dimensionals, build-a-cupcake punch, mini glue dots, crimper

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a warm and wonderful weekend.

I’m really liking the cupcakes, and you’re right, there isn’t anything much better than “free.” Great card, such sparkle on that cherry. The recipient of this birthday card is going to be special. Glad your UPS guy was able to get throught the snow. My package is “lost” and they are trying to find it. Got to 120 miles from here 24 hours ago and now they have no further record. Ugh! Stay warm.
