Out of the Box

I put my first Sale-a-bration order in today!  It was a great workshop; the hostess got a ton of free products and so did many of the workshop guests.  For more information about SAB, and to see the brochure, check out this post

If it doesn't snow tomorrow, we'll have technique class.  We'll be working with blender pens and doing the "Out of the Box" technique.  This is a really fun technique.  I got the idea from a sweatshirt I had bought at the beach a few years ago.  The colors and images were great, so I decided to copy the idea onto a card.

Isn't that calming?  I would never have thought about putting Marina Mist and Always Artichoke together, but they look really beachy!  I was going to use Crumb Cake with it, but Always Artichoke's "dynamic duo" color is River Rock, so I used that instead.

You can do this technique with the Circle Scissor Plus, but I loaned mine to a friend, so I used the retired Coluzzle instead.  Just stamp the image, and then cut around it – making sure some of the image "sticks out" beyond the box, circle or whatever other image you're creating.  Then trim closely around that part so it's "out of the box."  (Or, in this case – circle.)

Here are the supplies.  Have a wonderful week, and thanks for stopping in!
