Punches Galore!

I'm so proud of my boys for so many reasons.  One is that they're so good at sharing.  But there are some things I wish they'd just keep to themselves.  Like colds.  Ugh.  Mike & I have spent the past two days feeling miserable.   We have much to do tomorrow, though, so this is the end of the "puny days!"  On the plus side, though, we've developed quite an interesting rhythm with our cough duet.

I did manage to squeak out a card today.  Between a card Liz sent me to look at and the Stampin' Up! magazine, I got this great idea –

It's not the greatest photo.  I'll try to get a better one tomorrow in the sunlight.  One of the techniques we'll be doing this month is "blender pens," so I used a blender pen to pull color into the flowers.  I stamped them in Perfect Plum, blended the color into the flower with a blender pen, then punched.  I inked the heart in Blushing Bride, then colored over the flowers with Perfect Plum and punched.  The Perfect Plum heart layer was created with the Movers & Shapers window pack.

I really, really like the Perfect Plum/Rose Red combination with the Blushing Bride.

So, I'm going to take my hot chocolate and climb in bed.  Thanks for stopping in!

Wow! Great way to do the edges. Will have to give that a try. I’m not much on purple, but maybe I’ll give it a shot too. Love the card. TFS and hope you feel better soon!
