I made the cutest magnet out of the CD that I cut with the Big Shot (see post here). It had a cute scallop circle center and a designer paper center. It went with the card I made for today, but I decided to check to be sure the magnet was strong enough, so I stuck it on the fridge. I learned two things – A) The magnet was not strong enough and B) you should try things like that on the front of the fridge, not on the side where it will fall down beside the stove. The magnet/CD is now somewhere in the Ginnungagap and may never be seen again.
Here's the card that goes with the magnet….
I used the Punch Bunch stamp set. It's a Sale-a-bration item, and you can get it free when you spend $50 from Jan. 25 – March 31. There are five stamps that coordinate with 4 punches.
Here's a sneak peek at another card I made with the same set, but I used two different stamps.
I'm planning on stamping tomorrow; my grandfather always said, "Begin the New Year as you mean to go on." So I want to be stamping! And I want to practice a little, if I can get the guys to leave for awhile. It's not that they bother me; it's just hard to concentrate with people running through the room, or talking, or listening to videos on a computer 10 feet away. (Temperamental musicians, right??)
Here are the supplies. Mike & I are watching a movie tonight, then we'll probably be asleep before the new year rings in. We don't even have snacks. I was totally unprepared for the end of this year. We're all a little tired, so I'm not sure how much of a party mood any of us is in. So young to be so old, huh?
Have a wonderful New Year! I pray for blessings on each of you and for 2011 to be the best year yet for all of us! Thanks for stopping by.
