Friends Never Fade

A couple weeks ago, I attended my college's homecoming.  (It's a university now, but when I went there, it was still a humble college.)  The conductor from the years I attended came back as a guest, and they formed an alumni choir that performed during the weekend with Dr. Stutzenberger as one of the conductors.  It was so nice to see so many friends and professors from my college days.

One of the reasons I went (besides the choir!) was I noticed that my best friend from college would be attending.  So, I went to a rehearsal and looked all around….no Nodie.  Hmmm…maybe I'm just not recognizing her.  It has been over 20 years.  But really, no one there looked like my Nodie, even mentally adding 20-30 years to what I remembered.

Finally – at the first break, I heard someone say, "Well, just walk on by."   Now, I don't know how much I've changed, but Nodes looks exactly the same today as she did when we graduated, I think.  It was so incredibly wonderful to see her (turns out she wasn't singing,  just watching and listening), and it reminded me of this stamp set.

It's the "Friends Never Fade" set, and the sentiment is correct.  Friends may get older, they may lose touch, they may go years without seeing each other, but true friendships never fade.  They last forever.  People change, lives take turns you didn't see coming, but still – there's that bond between friends that nothing can sever.

Here's the supply list for the friends card –

Stamp set:  Friends Never Fade
Ink:  Stampin' Write Markers – Old Olive, Poppy Parade
Paper:  Greenhouse Gala designer series paper; Old Olive, Poppy Parade, Very Vanilla, Daffodil Delight card stock
Other:  Old Olive satin ribbon, square fire rhinestone brads, mini glue dot

All of these products can be purchsed online through my web site, or you can call or e-mail me with your order.  If you go online, the security has been changed to better protect your information, so you'll need to log in every time you order now.  It takes a few extra seconds, but it's well worth the time to protect your identity!!

Thanks for stopping in!  Have a terrific weekend.
