My Stamp Room Has Been Invaded…

…by boys!  When we added the family room and front porch to the house, we ended up with extra storage rooms under the family room and the front porch.  The rooms under the family room have become Mike's domain (his tool/bike/junk storage area, and his "office").  The area under the front porch was a great place to store stuff you never use but don't want to get rid of (yes, we're packrats), but also wrapping paper, suitcases, off-season sports equipment (boogie boards, snow boards, skis…), bulk items and stuff like that.

We realized that it had also become the place where the boys put all the stuff they didn't know what to do with when they cleaned their rooms.  So, right now, it's more of a junk room than anything.  And Mike decided that today would be a great day to "organize it."

Unfortunately, "under the front porch" is next to my stamp room, so they had to walk through it every time they carted something to another area.  So much for stamping today.  I'm not sure what got done; I left to run errands (any port in the storm!), but I haven't seen a lot of stuff in the "going to the dump" or "to be sold" piles.  *sigh*

Since I couldn't stamp, I thought I'd show you some more swaps from the Baltimore regional seminar.

This wasn't signed, so I have no idea who made it, but isn't it cute?  It uses the "Pick a Petal" set for the face, and "Word Play" as the sentiment.  The card stock is Bashful Blue and River Rock – and the River Rock layer is embossed with the Square Lattice folder.  This face reminds me of "Telly Monster" from "The Muppets," and he looks so sympathetic it would have to make you feel a little better, don't you think?

Fran Trischetta from Franklin Park, NJ, used the "Quinceañera" set from the Celebrando Creatividad catalog supplement for this card.  I love Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink together; it reminds me of chocolate covered strawberries or cherries.  And she used my favorite watercoloring medium – the watercolor pencils!

And, finally…

This one is so elegant.  It's from Karen Monger, and uses the "Occasional Quotes" stamp set with the Elegant Lines embossing folder.  She used different sizes of the pearl jewels to embellish it.  And I love the Whisper White satin ribbon with the Blushing Bride stitched poly ribbon.  I'd want to send a thank you note for the thank you note if I received this!

I have more swaps, but I'm holding them, because who knows when I'll get back to the room.  I have a lot of paper cutting to do this week for the Owl Punch class.  I'm really looking forward to that!

Don't forget the bundles that are available at a discount, and the Clearance Rack.  The "blitz" is over, but there are still some incredible deals on the rack!  Check here for info on the bundles, and here to order.

I have gift certificates available also!!  If you need a gift for a crafter (or someone wants to give you the perfect gift!), order a gift certificate here.  It can be for any amount, and I can mail it to the giver or recipient.  How easy is that?

Have a great day!  Thanks for stopping in.
