I was zipping along, saving another photo to my thumb drive yesterday,
when all of a sudden everything disappeared and a message came up
saying, "This folder is empty." Yikes! It was my stamping folder with
pics of cards and news and…just about everything business related.
I'm not sure what I did. Of course, Mike said, "But it was backed up,
right?" Oh, sure. Not. The thumb drive was my backup.
Fortunately, a lot of things (like the technique book) had been saved
somewhere else. The only thing I'm really bummed about losing was a
project I was making for Dad & Mom. Guess I'll have to go back to the drawing board on that one. It'll be a great chance to "hone my skills."
Here's some more glass glitter for you! This may be one of our techniques next week, depending on how much laundry I do in the next seven days. It's the "dryer sheet" technique. I used the new glass glitter from the holiday mini catalog around the border, but it didn't stick really well to the dryer sheet. I like the "glitteriness," though.
I used the new Northern Flurry embossing folder (from the Holiday mini catalog) and then sponged a little Frost White shimmer paint over the embossed areas. The rest is pretty straightforward, I think. Isn't it kind of like looking through a frosty glass window? I heard on the news that fall is going to feel like summer. I'm happy about that, but the guys around here are whining. Maybe thinking about frosty windows will cool them off a bit. It's a little overcast today, so maybe we'll get some rain!
Here are the supplies:

Today is the man's birthday, and I think I can spend most of the day with him. He's showing a house this morning, and since we have pictures to shoot later, I'm riding along. We'll go right past two Starbucks, (Starbuckses?) and they have free coffee today. Wooohoooo!! Anyway, I made him a great card last night, but promised it would be just for him – no pics or blogging. Usually I double up business and family, but this time it's all his. (Maybe I can sneak it away in a few weeks…) He also got breakfast in bed, and I'll bake a cake for him while he's in class tonight. He has a super busy week, so I'm thinking we'll celebrate his birthday Saturday after workshops!
I'd better get moving, or I'm gonna miss the train! Tomorrow, Dasher makes an appearance!
