Daily Vitamin

I love getting our Stampin' Up! magazine, Stampin' Success, in the mail each month, because it means fresh, new ideas.  This month, there were some samples of little "thinking of you" cards, and I CASED this one.

Daily Vitamin I changed it a bit – different stamps, different colors, different size – and I added the embossing on the front of the card.  I even got the color combo from the magazine – from another article.  The "faux sewing" was used on another card on the same page, and I thought it would look cute on this one.  It seems I "faux sew" the same way I sew for real – crookedly!!  And this was even with the paper piercing template.  Sad, sad, sad.  This is why I don't sew much, although I have a great sewing machine.  Mike knew I sewed, so for our first Christmas, he surprised me with a sewing machine.  Bear in mind that when we first got married, our jobs didn't always pay us (one of the "benefits" of being in ministry; you get to live "by faith"), so this was a huge gift!  He got a great deal, though – but was very disappointed when it arrived and there was no case, just the machine "guts."  He was so upset, but I thought, hey, it still works!  We can do something to make it work out.  He was already planning how to make a case for it when the rest of it came – several days after the first package.  It seems it was shipped in two parts and they had kind of gotten separated. It's really nice – and portable, since I've never had a lot of room to have it set up all the time (at least since we've had kids, anyway).  And please don't think I'm complaining about "living by faith."  It's been a huge adventure, and God has never disappointed us, even when there have been times that I'm sure we have let Him down.

Here are the supplies for today's card.  I used different sets for the image and the sentiment, because sometimes "Pun Fun" can be a little too "punny" for adults.

Stamp sets:
Pun Fun, Morning Cup
Ink:  Jet Black stazon, Early Espresso classic, Stampin' Pastels, Early Espresso stampin' write marker
Paper:  Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Whisper White, Pear Pizazz, Baja Blue card stock
Other:  Early Espresso grosgrain, paper piercing tool & template, Elegant Lines embossing folder, blender pen, linen thread; punches – 1 3/4", 2 1/2" circle, 1 3/8" scallop, scallop edge

Thanks for stopping in!  Have a terrific day.
