There are days that I just don't feel creative. Ever have days like that? My stamping mojo just goes on vacation for awhile. It's very sad. I have all these great ideas, but when I get to the stamp room – nothin'. Honestly, it's not like I don't have ideas, but they're just not IDEAS, you know? And I wanted to have something fresh, exciting and, well, spectacular.
Today I decided it was time to get crackin' whether I felt like it or not. Enough sitting around, bemoaning the loss of my creativity. Just stamp something. Spectacular can be overrated, right?
I spritzed some Tempting Turquoise card stock with bleach for a technique class, but then decided not to use it, so we started there. The way the bleach reacted with the turquoise card stock looked a little like sea spray, so immediately I thought of Uncharted Territory. With the help of my handy dandy Color Coach, I paired it with Rich Razzleberry. I was on a roll!!
After I got it all colored up, I thought about my shimmer paints and how I've been wanting to make shimmer mist with them. I filled up my mister with rubbing alcohol and added some platinum shimmer paint. I love the way it turned out! You can't see it well in the photo, but it looks like early morning, with a little bit of fog and mist around the lighthouse. With a little more smooch paint on the water (Moonlight), I was happy.
Here are the rest of the supplies: (That sounds like Paul Harvey; he always did a "rest of the story" segment that was very cool.)

Mike & I are doing a "modified" South Beach diet thing. Lots of lean meat (mostly fish) and veggies and very, very little sugar. I need to start walking, too. It takes a lot to keep a body in shape! I asked for a Wii Fit for my birthday, but now I've heard things…like it nags you if you miss a workout. Ok, there's a reason I don't go to the gym and work with a trainer. I am not really nice when I get nagged about working out or working harder. I have fantasies of smacking said trainer with a dumbbell. Relax – it's not like it's a big dumbbell, so it wouldn't hurt. It would be more of a little tap. Still, the motivational, "come on, just one more, push, push, challenge yourself…." just annoys me. Now, if they said, "10 more and you can have this Hershey's nugget!" – that might motivate me.
Have a great day! I'm off to find a nice low calorie, low carb, tasty snack. (Isn't that kind of an oxymoron??)
