Color Coached Bees

I love the new color coach!  Instead of a wheel, it has swatches of color that you can fan out or even remove from the pack to see how the colors look together.  And you can add or delete pages – so you'll always have ideas for In Colors, or move the cards around the way you want.  There's even a Color Theory mini lesson, and room for you to add your favorite color combinations.  That's a real plus, because I always have a combo I love, but then forget what I used.  The swatches are exact matches to the card stock, but they're very close.  Each card has a creative combination and either a "sweet set" or a combination using the new "Getting Started" collection, which is great for new stampers.

This uses one of the "Sweet Sets."  I was using up some leftovers from workshops today and had layers of Old Olive, More Mustard and Whisper White.  I grabbed my color coach, and one of the suggestions was Bravo Burgundy.  I never would have considered using that, but it looks really great with the mustard and olive.

Embossed_bees Yes, that's Just Buzzin' By.  This is another set that I loved and used so much – until a new mini catalog came out, and then it got pushed to the back of the shelf.  I'm so glad I discovered it again when I was pulling out retired sets.

The only things retiring on the card are the felt "Flower Fusion" flowers and the Playground buttons.  There will still be Old Olive buttons, though; they're just being "reconfigured."  I'm not sure how much I can give away before the catalog goes online, so I won't say more than that.

My Jonny comes home today.  He's been on "Walkabout."  Well, not really, but he has been seeing Virginia the past 10 days.  He's been to Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens, Colonial Williamsburg, Chincoteague, Harrisonburg (now there's a tourist spot!!), and Bryce.  This is his first real "vacation" without family, so I guess he's really grown up now.  We sure have missed him.  He left me in charge of watering the plants in his bedroom.  And, while Wesley takes care of Hoss during the day and evening, Jonathan is responsible for feeding him and taking him out in the mornings, and Mike and I have been sharing that duty.  So I actually asked him, if I could only keep one thing alive – dog or plants – which did he choose?  (Of course, the dog won, but he did give me a look…)  Hoss sure will be glad to see him again.  The last time Mike and both boys were gone for a whole weekend, the dog was so happy to see them he wagged and wagged his hindquarters.  He wagged so much, he limped for a day or two!

Don't forget the "last chance" lists.  Stamp sets on the list will be gone after June 30, and retiring accessories are "while supplies last" until June 30, and then they'll be gone (or on the clearance rack!).   Many accessories are being sold at a very large discount, so take a look at the sales on my online store, and start shopping! And remember – if you want to be part of my stamping team, a mini starter kit is available for $99, and you can sign up online!  Just go to my website, click "start your own business," and then "Join Now."  You can get started right away!  My password is stamptherapy (you'll need that to sign up).

Have a great first day of summer!
