One of our local schools is having a "teacher appreciation week" next week, and Janet asked if I could do a stamping demo for them on Tuesday. This will be so fun! And Janet is so sweet, she donated most of the supplies.
Two of the cards we're doing use a whole sheet of card stock. Yikes! 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" is a big card! I'm not sure I've ever made a card that large, but that's the size envelopes we have, so that's what we're doing. It was kind of fun to "stretch!" As they say on Project Runway, "Make it work!"
Here are the cards. The two that look "girlie" show how the Texturz plates look on both sides of the designer paper, so they can choose which look they want. The idea is to use them for Mother's and Father's Day, but in case some of them would rather use them for a birthday or "thinking of you," they should work ok for generic occasions as well.
If you saw the blog when it first went live, you'll see this is a different card. I had some retired designer paper that looked so much better, so I swapped it out.

That's all for today. Tonight is the final "Requiem" performance. Last night went really well. The instrumentalists and soloists were wonderful, and the choir did a great job. Our conductor, of course, was amazing at keeping us all together. He has this "look" he gives us that means, "pay attention and focus or you'll hear about it later!" — and we only saw it a couple times. (That's a good thing!)
