One of the benefits of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is we get great ideas. One of our resources is Stampin' Success, our monthly magazine. For the next few days, my samples will be inspired by the ideas in Stampin' Success this month. Most of the stamp sets will be changed, and the colors will be different, but the basic template and idea will be CASEd. CASE stands for "Copy and share everything." So if something is "CASEd," that means it's not a completely original idea.
This is a card I made for one of the boys' friends, Chris, who turned 21 today. The basic template was in the magazine, except it used circles and scallop circles for the image. I needed something suitable for a 21 year old, so I used the robot. And the soda can layer just seemed to fit. The only non-SU! product on the card is the die I used to cut the can. I don't have an oval Sizzix die yet, so I used another brand.
Supplies (99.9% SU!):
Stamps: Lots of Bots
Ink: Jet Black StazOn; Basic Brown classic; Stampin' Write Markers: Barely Banana, Pumpkin Pie, Bordering Blue, Bashful Blue
Paper: Watercolor paper, Soft Suede Patterns DSP, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP, Dusty Durango card stock
Other: Stampin' Dimensionals, mini glue dots, Soft Suede Polka Dot grosgrain, corner rounder punch, soda can, nameplate die
For those who think we have an exciting life with flying baking stones, flaming pizza and a huge, goofy dog who is now wearing a collar around his neck to keep from licking meds off his fur (he looks like he's wearing a life jacket!), I realized today that it must be genetic. My cousin just posted on facebook that one of her ducks drowned (how???) and she set herself on fire. I think they were unrelated incidents. Well. My life is pretty tame. Although I did set myself on fire once. (Read all about it here.) It was more of a singe, actually. And the dog fell in the pool several weeks ago, but we got him out safely. So life at the Cooper house is pretty normal, I guess!
