Holiday Mini Catalog!

I can finally link you to the Holiday Mini Catalog!  On my Stampin' Up! home page click "Details" under "September 2009 Promotions," Then, enjoy all the promos this month.  The Holiday Mini is the third one; click that.  (You have to click the words in the text, not the picture or the title.)   That will take you to the page of catalogs.  The Holiday mini is on the bottom row.  "Click download .pdf".  The mini is a little larger this year, so it may take a minute or two.

I think you're going to love it. If you haven't gotten one in the mail already, you should soon.  If you don't see your copy in the next week or so, contact me and I'll send you one.

Here's the bad news:  My Digital Studio won't be available until October, but it will be a permanent item (at least for awhile!).  It won't be disappearing in January like many of the mini catalog items.

And you're going to want to hostess a workshop in September!  Check the September specials (right sidebar) to see the sweet deal you get when you hostess a $250 workshop.  And it gets even better if you get to $400!

Here's a new card for you.

Watercolor_friends We made this at our last workshop – so if you were at the workshop, this isn't new for you.

Spritz the paper (here – confetti white) with water, then stamp in Cameo Coral three times (without re-inking).  Clean the stamp, then stamp again in Bermuda Bay.  The colors are supposed to run a little.  You don't want your card stock soppy wet, or you'll just have a blur.  Although, I've done that, and then stamped over it again when it dried a little, and it looked really cool.  If the ink doesn't run as much as you'd like, just spritz it again with water.

The rest of the card is fairly straightforward.  The sentiment stamp was inked with markers, and I made the "rick-rack" ribbon pattern by punching both sides of a Bermuda Bay card stock strip with the scallop edge punch.  The background pattern is the Damask Texturz plate.

Here's the complete list:

Stamp sets:  Itty Bitty Backgrounds, Friends 24/7
Ink:  Cameo Coral, Bermuda Bay classic stampin' pads and stampin' write markers; Sage Shadow classic     pad
Paper:  Sage Shadow, Cameo Coral, Bermuda Bay, Always Apricot, Confetti White card stock
Accessories:  Big Shot, Damask Texturz plate, Silicone Rubber, Impressions pad, scallop edge punch
