More Inspiration from “Jan Tink”

If you haven't visited Jan Tinklenberg's blog, you should!  She's funny and always entertaining, but she's also incredibly talented.  She had a "sepia" card the other day that was just so gorgeous, I had to try.  I changed a few things – the stamp set, paper, etc., but the idea is total "JanTink."

Sepia_hummingbird I used to have so many "vintage" sets, but it seems most have retired.  *sad*  So I used Mom's "Spring Song" that I borrowed.  (I promise, Mom, you will get it back.  One day.)

This was a lot of fun!  I stamped the image in Basic Brown on Kraft card stock, colored with Very Vanilla craft ink and a blender pen, then added some shadows with Close to Cocoa.

The "background paper" is Kraft card stock that I ran through the Big Shot with a Texturz plate.  I colored the plate with Close to Cocoa first, so it has a little pattern and texture.

Here are the supplies:
Stamp Set:  Spring Song
Ink:  Close to Cocoa, Basic Brown Classic; Very Vanilla Craft
Paper:  Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Kraft card stock
Accessories:  Big Shot, Texturz Plate, Impressions Pad, Silicone Rubber, Blender Pen, Crafter's Tool Kit, Jumbo Brads (Chocolate Chip), Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

This is the very last day for the "Buy 3/Get 1 Free" paper special, to preorder Jumble Alphabet and to become a Stampin' Up! demo for only $75.  Be sure to give me a shout if you need paper, stamps or want to join up.  And, remember, you can order online any time.

Tomorrow the "Last Chance" lists will be out, so keep an eye open for that.  Retiring stamp sets and discontinued accessories will be announced.  Also, the June Hostess Special starts.  It's an incredible promotion.  If you hostess a workshop that totals $250-399.99, you get an extra $20 in hostess benefits.  If your workshop hits $400 or more, it's an extra $40!!!  You already get $45 for a $400 workshop, so that's at least $85 in free Stampin' Up! goodies.  Wowza – I want it!!  I think there's going to be a sale on retiring accessories, and I'll offer a discount on retiring stamp sets (if SU! doesn't) – so call up all your friends & family to come stamp and we'll set a date for some Summer Fun!

That's it for today….off to stamp club!  Have a happy Sunday!
