Easter on Fifth Avenue

I've been having a lot of fun with the Fifth Avenue Floral set.  It seems a lot of people are stamping the flowers in Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip (or Not Quite Navy, or Basic Black – just something dark).  I stamped the flowers in Baja and Kiwi, then was going to layer a piece of vellum over top with the roses stamped in Chocolate Chip.  Not so much.  It was really messy.  So – here's the vellum piece reworked.  (I'll post the Baja/Kiwi one tomorrow.)

The hardest part about this card was figuring out how I wanted to attach the vellum.  Mini Glue dots under the pearls seemed like a good idea.  Seriously, though, those things are just like boogers, don't you think??  (Sorry if that's offensive….Living with 2 teenaged boys, a man and a huge, stinky dog makes it hard to have more sensitive feelings sometimes.  I need an "adopt a girl" day.)

Here's the list of supplies for this one:
Stamp Sets:  Fifth Avenue Floral, All Holidays
Ink:  Chocolate Chip classic
Paper:  Pale Plum, Perfect Plum, Mellow Moss, Vellum card stock
Accessories:  Mini Glue Dots, Pretties Kit, Large Oval/Scallop Oval/Wide Oval punches, Whisper White taffeta ribbon

Please take note of the bow.  It's rare that I get one to look that good!  Kudos and comments will be appreciated.

I'm going to play with the Manhatten Flower die and ink….kind of a "debossing/inking/embossing" thing.  We'll see how that goes.

Have a wonderful weekend!  Tomorrow's my Big Shot class and Donna's workshop, so it will be a busy day.  I have the blogs ready to go, however, so I'm actually ahead of the game.  For a change!
