It's also the last day to enjoy a 20% savings on Simply Sent kits.  Again – just go to my web site and click Shop Now.  Easy.  Shopping on my web site will give you the same great prices and benefits as ordering in person.  And your order will come right to your door.  Or, if you prefer, you can always e-mail or call me with your order.

About 3:00 a.m., our dear dog decided he needed to go outside.  Mike graciously got up to let him out, but then I had a great idea for a Winter Post card.  What do you think?

I love the way Winter Post and Lovely as a Tree go together!  I was going to use this as a Stamp-a-stack card, but I think there's a little too much embossing involved.  But it was fun, anyway!

Here are the "ingredients" –
Stamp sets:  Winter Post, All Holidays, Lovely as a Tree
Ink:  VersaMark; Handsome Hunter, Basic Black and Chocolate Chip markers; Yoyo Yellow, Barely Banana, Pale & Perfect Plum, Night of Navy, Basic Gray, Chocolate Chip classic pads
Paper:  Whisper White, Pale Plum, Perfect Plum
Accessories:  White Gel Pen, Clear embossing powder, Black embossing powder, Aqua Painter, 1 3/8" circle punch, Stamp-a-ma-Jig, 1/16" handheld circle punch, Vintage brads, ticket corner punch, stampin' sponges, embossing buddy

I stamped the tree line in VersaMark and embossed them in black.  I colored the evergreen stamp with markers, stamped, then overstamped in VersaMark using the SAMJ and embossed with clear powder.  The deer was stamped in Chocolate Chip, then overstamped with VersaMark and embossed with clear powder.

Punch out a "moon" from a post-it note, position on the card stock, and start sponging.  I usually use So Saffron around the moon, but I left it someplace.  Can you believe it?  The YoYo yellow is a little bright, but, hey – it's a snowy night.

I added a few shadows and highlights, then darkened the moon with Barely Banana ink.  I wanted to use the word "Peace" from the "Join in the Cheer" Big Shot decorative strip, but it was a little too big.  So – I just colored "Peace" from the All Holidays "Peace, Love, Joy" stamp with a Basic Black marker.

I'm going to try to get my Pocket Silhouettes done this afternoon.  Have a great Saturday!

    Simply Breathtaking Buffy!
When I enlarged the picture image it looked as if you had outlined the deer(stag really)with the white gel pen. Did you?
    Thanks for all the details.
    Time to CASE – LoL!

Thanks, Jean!! Yes, I did outline him with the gel pen. I just meant to add a few highlights, but went a little overboard…..
