The A/C is fixed, and it's downright frigid in here. I guess the guys are trying to make up for a whole summer of no cooling, because they keep turning the temperature down. Yikes! I'm walking around with a jacket on. The only really warm place is my stamp room, so I'm spending as much time there as I can. (Yes, I know you're surprised!)
It may be because I'm cold, but I've been in a Christmas-sy mood. And I've been playing with the Big Shot again. What? Oh, yes, I do know there are no pictures on my scrapbook pages. I love to create pages, but I forget to take pictures. So I thought maybe this year if I have the pages made, I'll remember to take the pictures. AND actually print them!
These are actually two shots of the same page…On my computer the colors look wildly different, but they're really not.
I used the Decorative Strip from the Big Shot to make the heading. I cut it from cardboard and from Designer Paper (Prestwick) and glued them together. I didn't realize it kind of ends up downhill until I saw the picture, so I'll fix that!
The bottom strip is Lovely as a Tree stamped in Whisper White and embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. The snowflakes (from "Snowburst") are randomly stamped in StazOn. That's all there is to it! The mats are just card stock with DSP layered over them (and photo corners punched from the DSP).
Here are the colors –
Bottom layer – Brocade Blue
Top Layer – Night of Navy
Mats – Brocade Blue, Prestwick DSP
I have another card for today, too, but I'm waiting for the Crystal Effects to dry. As soon as it does, I'll finish the card and upload it.
Have a great weekend!
My goodness, I can’t keep up with you. I keep seeing one great blog entry after another and I have no time to stamp. So, as of now, I have about 15 things on my list to try. Oh woe is me, that may take until November to catch up. Love the scrap layouts too. Good idea, I may try doing some layouts and then just drop the pics later. Right now I have the pics and no pages. But grandson went home today and starting next Tuesday I can hide (I mean create) in my craft room again. Yipee!! ……sandy
