Stamp Off Color Challenge

It’s time for another “Stamp Off” Challenge with Friends! This one is a color challenge, and I LOVE the colors!

How fun and springy is that? If you read my “So Faux” post, that’s what I planned for the challenge. But I used Whisper White instead of Very Vanilla. I probably could have fudged the So Faux and said it was Very Vanilla, but where’s the challenge in that, right? So I made another card for the challenge.

Stampin' Up!, A Whole Lot of Lovely

This started out as a Clean and Simple Card. I inked the thank you image with Wisteria Wonder, Old Olive, and Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Write Markers, then stamped on Very Vanilla Card Stock. It was supposed to end there. But then I noticed the little flowers in the A Whole Lot of Lovely set. Wouldn’t those be lovely at the top left? So I had to ink a few of those as well.

And then the rest of the card seemed naked, so I added a few splatters In Lost Lagoon from Timeless Textures. And then I splattered a little Wisteria Wonder ink over the edges. The centers of the flowers looked a little empty too. I thought about adding some tiny pearls or some of my Crushed Curry Dazzling Details (yes, I made it myself with ink refill and Dazzling Details), but no yellows were in the challenge. So I went with Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details. It gave a little glitz but still blended with the colors.

What this means is I simply cannot do Clean and Simple. But I do love a good color challenge, and this one was really fun!

Speaking of fun – you only have six more days to enjoy Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration. Don’t miss out on those wonderful free products! Host a party, and you can get extra Stampin’ Rewards. That’s how I got the A Whole Lot of Lovely set. It’s a hostess exclusive.

Now – more fun. Hop over to Jackie’s and Susan’s blogs to see what they made for the challenge. Those two always amaze me!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!

Buffy, BEAUTIFUL soft soothing card. I love it because you didn’t over-do the spatter, just a perfect amount of stamping, spatter and bling.

Nice, nice card. The light splatter was a perfect touch, and that is saying a LOT from your “clean and simple” mother! You have such a good eye for details.
